The mission of our practice is to provide excellent dermatologic care using an integrated approach. We care for both adult and pediatric patients and treat a variety of dermatologic conditions including skin cancer, birth marks, infections, rashes and cosmetic concerns. It is our goal to treat each patient in a caring and compassionate manner using the most highly qualified professional and support staff along with the most up to date treatments and procedures. In our practice we utilize a team approach that includes input from our physician, physicians assistant and esthetician.
Dr Patricia
Farris is a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic
surgeon. She has over twenty years of experience in the treatment
of skin disorders
and skin cancer and is known for her expertise in cosmetic dermatology.
Dr Farris is a clinical assistant professor at Tulane University
where she received
her medical degree and residency training in dermatology. Dr Farris
has been recognized by New Orleans Magazine as one of New Orleans
top doctors, voted
by the readers of Gambit Magazine as "the best dermatologist in New
Orleans" and is among America's Top Doctors.
Heather Pastor, P.A is a board certified physician assistant who joined Dr Farris's dermatology practice in 2002. Heather attended the physician assistant program at LSUHSC-Shreveport, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2002. She has a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a dermatology focus.
Heather is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She has recently founded the Louisiana Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Bridget Raymond is a licensed esthetician and medical assistant. Bridget has extensive experience and knowledge in skin care and skin rejuvenating procedures including microdermabrasion and chemical peels. She also has over ten years experience in performing laser procedures and laser hair removal. She is a member of the Society for Skin Care Specialist.
