Dr Farris is considered a national expert on skin care and cosmeceuticals products and serves as a spokesperson for the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been quoted extensively in newspapers and magazine articles including O Magazine, Allure, Prevention, Ladies Home Journal, W Magazine and In Style. She has appeared in over two hundred television segments on a variety of subjects related to dermatology.

Recently, Dr Farris was quoted in the New York Times style section discussing the virtues of night creams. Although these products are popular with consumers, most of them could be used at any time of the day.
